Each family is led by a Deaconess. The deaconesses organize activities for the ladies such as visiting orphans, prisons, the widows, foreigners etc. The families meet every Sunday after service to catch up and pray with each other. Each family develops it’s own programme for the year
Women’s Ministry
Mandate
The women’s ministry takes care of ladies in the church. This ministry is under the able leadership of Pastor Tabitha Kiragu and headed by Deaconess Susan Thige. They work with women leaders called Deaconesses on issues to do with women in the church. The ladies are divided into 12 groups called families. The names of the families are as follows: Anne, Deborah, Dorcas, Eunice, Huldah, Lydia, Magdalene, Mary, Miriam, Phoebe, Priscilla and Ruth.
Objectives
The objective of the families is to ensure that the needs of the ladies are met and that no one has to go through any challenge alone. They walk together as family. It facilitates fellowship and support for one another. The ladies are able to stand with one another through difficulties and rejoice together during good times.
There is also a monthly meeting every 4th Sunday of the month from 2 – 4 pm. This meeting is dubbed Women of Virtue meeting. different speakers are invited to speak on different topics which are relevant to daily life.
